Personal Training Designed for Real Results.
Most trainers focus only on workouts. The Fulcrum Method integrates Movement, Nutrition, Mindset, and Recovery into one personalized system.
Train with Founder David Levy, who’s spent 30 Years perfecting this methodology.
Training that actually makes sense for your body.
Physics-based strength coaching built around how your body actually works — not a template, not a class format, not a trend. Try it for two weeks and see the difference.
Fulcrum is now open in Honolulu.
Fulcrum Fitness started in Portland in 1995 — a coaching practice built on a single idea: that training should be designed around how bodies actually work, not how gyms are set up to run classes. That practice has grown to 600+ members across two Portland locations over 30 years.
Now David is bringing that same coaching practice to Honolulu. Not a new gym — a coaching presence. Training happens at Mo Fit in Moʻiliʻili, a community gym that provides the space while Fulcrum provides the method, the coaching, and the programming. Think of it the way a skilled barber takes their craft to a new city: the shop is local, but the expertise travels.
This is the founding member window. Spots are intentionally limited — quality coaching doesn't scale to a crowd. The people who join now get founding member pricing, direct access to David, and the kind of attention that disappears once a program is fully built out. If you've been waiting for something like this in Honolulu, this is the moment.
Why does it work so well?
Most training programs are built around exercises. The Fulcrum Method is built around physics — how force moves through your body, what your joints can handle, and how to build strength without breaking things. That difference matters a lot depending on where you're starting from.
Working around pain — or working through it properly
Most trainers avoid injured areas entirely, or push through them blindly. Neither works long-term. Understanding the physics of how force loads a joint means you can train around an injury while still getting stronger, and gradually rebuild what was lost. Clients with chronic pain, post-surgery histories, and old sports injuries find this approach is the first thing that actually moves the needle.
Getting stronger in the ways that actually carry over
Generic strength programs make you better at the gym. Physics-based training makes you better at life — and sport. When you train through full ranges of motion with correct load distribution, the strength transfers. Whether you surf, play tennis, do outrigger, or just want to move better, the method builds functional capacity that shows up outside the gym.
Still doing what you love at 60, 70, and beyond
The biggest threat to long-term health isn't disease — it's loss of function. Muscle mass, joint mobility, and balance decline when training stops or never addressed the right things. The Fulcrum Method builds the physical foundation that keeps you independent, capable, and out of pain for decades. It's training for the long game, not just the next few months.
Where the method comes from
The Fulcrum Method wasn't built in a classroom. It was refined over 30 years of coaching real people with real limitations.
David Levy
David built the Fulcrum Method over 30 years of hands-on coaching — a physics-based system that starts with how your body actually moves and builds from there. In Portland, that method now serves 600+ members across two facilities. He brought it to Honolulu because the island deserves training that takes people seriously.
When you train with David, you're not getting a program pulled from a template library. You're getting coaching built around the specific mechanics of your body — your history, your limitations, your goals.
