How You Can Help Displaced Oregonians

Fitpro B and her partner in a van with supplies for Oregonians affected by the fires

Hi, it’s Fitpro B here.

I’m sure most of you have been following the fire and smoke conditions across the west coast this week. The fires in Southern Oregon have been partially tragic and have forced 500,000 to evacuate. Many of who will not be able to return to their homes due to the amount of damage.

These displaced families are fleeing to surrounding cities, and even Portland. Seeking safe shelter and basic supplies. With the lack of federal assistance these supplies are sadly in short stock.

Luckily members of the community have been stepping up and providing grassroots relief. My partner and I are currently part of a group that has a u-haul disrupting donations across Oregon to churches, community centers, and individuals. Many supplies have already been given to families in need - but we need more help. We need your help.

We are accepting donations at Fulcrum MLK.

See below for a list of top priority items. We will accept donations at Hawthorne when it reopens.

If you’re unable to to bring in donations or would prefer to assist in this effort another way please contact me personally at brittany@fulcrumfitness.com.

Thank you for your help,

B
